Most write-ups of Candy AI stop at the characters. The questions that decide whether you subscribe are quieter: what the platform records, what shows up on your statement, and how long you have to ask for your money back.
Candy AI runs on the official website at candy.ai, in any desktop or mobile browser, with no app to install. Select “Join Now,” then register with your name, email address and password. The site shows an age gate and may ask you to verify your age or identity, depending on where you are.
The free version allows up to five messages, so you can test a profile before entering payment details.
What the service actually is
A browser-based companion platform for adults, licensed for personal, non-commercial use.
Candy AI creates fictional virtual characters powered by artificial intelligence. You can chat by text, build a companion of your own, and request voice notes, images and videos. The library holds more than 100 companions, differing in appearance, personality, background, communication style and voice.
Eligibility is not a formality. You must be at least 18, or meet the legal age where you live. The account is yours alone, cannot be shared or transferred, and is expected to carry accurate details and your own payment method. US users reach it through a web browser, in English plus twelve localized interfaces.
One framing shapes everything else: every conversation is fiction. Characters have no real emotions and cannot arrange real-world meetings. The Community Guidelines require lawful use, and you stay responsible for your prompts and whatever they generate.

Custom companions start from ethnicity, age range, hairstyle, eye colour, body type and name, then the personality dials: warmth, confidence, humour, sensitivity and tone. Pick a voice — soft, energetic, bold or deeper — and define interests.
Data handling
What the platform collects and keeps
Worth reading before you customise a companion: prompts and outputs are processed too, not just the signup form.
Creating an account involves your email address, an encrypted password, your screen name, your sign-in information and, where applicable, age-verification results. Technical data is processed too: browser, device, IP address and account activity.
Once you start using the product the scope widens: prompts, messages, calls and generated outputs are all processed, plus the attributes you select — appearance, age, voice, personality, occupation and interests.
The Privacy Notice lets Candy AI combine, anonymize or de-identify interactions and outputs, then use them to improve the service, check quality, research, moderate and develop technology. Some flagged content may be reviewed by a person — worth knowing if you assume no human reads a conversation.
Retention, in plain numbers. Account information is kept while the account exists and for a period afterward — up to three years after your last activity. Financial and transaction records can be kept for ten years when tax or accounting rules require it. Deletion requests go to the privacy team.

Security and payments
Encrypted processing, neutral statement line
Security measures are in place against data loss, unauthorized access, changes and improper disclosure. Payments run through providers using encryption, so card numbers are not the platform’s to store. What it receives is a transaction record, whose shape depends on how you pay.

Charges appear under “EverAI” on your statement, not Candy AI and no explicit adult-service wording. One caveat is easy to miss: paying by crypto takes you off the card route, and refunds cover card purchases only.

Every Premium plan carries the same features — unlimited text, 100 tokens per month, custom companions, 18+ images and videos. Only the interval and price change.
Premium starts at $5.60 weekly and runs to $47.88 for twelve months — $3.99 per month, the cheapest way in. The monthly plan is the one to read twice: $9.99 covers the first month, then $13.99 applies. Tokens pay for images, voice notes and other media tools; they cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and they expire with the period.
